NEW TO Vacation Rental By Owner FOR 2024! Don’t be deterred by the lack of reviews, my property was managed by a local property management company until late 2023 and is brand new to Vacation Rental By Owner. I am a Super Host on another platform for another property I own, so be assured you are in good hands!

OIB is a very family-friendly destination and the playground on the island newly had updates/additions. The Summer Concert Series on Friday nights throughout the summer are a blast for the whole family. Come experience all that OIB has to offer.

About the Area

Located in Ocean Isle Beach, this vacation home is near the beach. Museum of Coastal Carolina and Sunset River Marketplace are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Rees Jones Golf Course and Leopard's Chase Golf Club. Ingram Planetarium and Planet Fun are also worth visiting.

When to go & When to book:

• Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
• Summer months are high season in Ocean Isle Beach. To find the best value, shift your family's Southport vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warm weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Southport vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
• Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
• Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to determine what configuration is suitable for your vacation group.
• Some properties allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask your host about your furry family members before booking.
• Visiting for a single event? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.

Advice for a wonderful stay:

• Get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.

• Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible resource to find the best local beaches.
• Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
• Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to confirm you haven't forget any personal items. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
• Inspect the property a final time and look for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
• Did your group have a fantastic vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
