Booking the best Southport rental home experience:

How to get the best value:

  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Booking a rental in Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Southport vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Hosts sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer customers an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Often, management companies supply Southport area travel guide magazines that include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Filter your search:

  • To start, have your group decide on a vacation week and a max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. CottageVacations4u \"BARGE INN\"-- on lagoon with pool club-tennis-pickleball- Updated 2022! has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is often available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the property management company before you reserve your home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is right for your trip.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • If there's an individual Southport attraction you are crazy about, look for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Have a great stay:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few concerns.
  • Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let crooks ruin your family vacation.
  • During check-in, document any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors disrupting your peaceful home. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • At departure, complete a walk-through to confirm you haven't forget anything. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on good reviews to compel more reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your experience find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
