If guests in the other unit are being far too loud, please let us know and we will address that with them immediately.

Our top Rental property booking tips:

Getting the most from your vacation rental budget:

  • The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season in the Southport area. Booking a rental in the Spring or Fall is a good way to save money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Southport vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Southport area travel guide magazines which will include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Southport visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

How to select the perfect rental:

  • Begin by choosing your the best vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your group requires. Downtown Escape - 5 blocks to Riverwalk has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is regularly available on booking websites. If not, email the property management company before booking the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to book a property that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

Some things to know before you go:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your . Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, television set or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many concerns.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would at home.
  • Document any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be helpful if damages are assessed.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your home life. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Double-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed everything at departure. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave a review! Property owners rely on great ratings to inspire future reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
