POOL HEATING
The pool is open year round and can be heated for an additional cost of $150 a day. When heated, the pool water should be between 80-84 degrees depending on outside air temperatures and weather. You must pay for the entire stay and can not pick and choose days you want the pool heated. We can not guarantee the pool water temperatures due to the dependency of the weather and air temperatures, however the gas heaters are very effective during most conditions. Please keep in mind that the heater only runs when the pool pump is running and typically the pump does not run at nighttime due to time schedule.

The pool and/or spa is private and unattended, so swim at your own risk. All kids must be supervised in the water at all times by an adult. No food, drinks, alcohol, glass, etc are allowed in or around the pool. Pools are serviced regularly, however please keep in mind that due to the tropical nature of the island, it is not unusual to find unexpected debris and sand in the pool.

Tricks and tips for getting the perfect Ocean Isle Beach vacation home experience:

When to visit & When to reserve a Ocean Isle Beach rental home:

  • The earlier you can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • June, July, and August are high season in the Southport area. Reserve your rental property in Fall or Spring to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Property managers frequently offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Southport area visitor guides which often include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Southport visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Planning, picking, and booking the perfect Southport rental home:

  • First and foremost, have your family select trip dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your group needs. Experience luxury at Notorious OIB, a spacious 4bd, 4.5ba, perfect for up to 10 guests. has 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the property manager before you reserve your home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.
  • Some rentals allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • Visiting for a specific event or attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

More tips for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of difficulties.
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • To make sure that damages aren't linked to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas when you arrive. E-mail the host right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be respectful. Often, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal items. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a excellent vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
