Booking the best vacation rental experience:

Sticking to your spending plan:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season in Carolina Beach. Reserve your Southport rental in the Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
  • The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your rental home six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your group.
  • Property managers often offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
  • Many management companies supply Southport area visitor guide magazines which include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Southport visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Make a plan and pick your Southport vacation home:

  • Start by having your family select the best dates and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. \nCoco Bay Ocean View Townhome! - Book by March 31 for 20% Discount has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally available on booking pages. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before you book the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to establish what bed configuration is right for your vacation.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental
  • Some properties allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.

More tips for your visit:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
  • Make a record of any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be very helpful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
  • At departure, complete a walk-through to make sure you haven't leave anything behind. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property a final time and scan for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a great stay? Many rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
