Tips and Tricks to get the best vacation home experience:

Get the most from your rental home budget:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Carolina Beach. Book your rental in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • In the Southport area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
  • Owners sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your group.
  • Booking websites typically offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Look for your local Southport visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitors guides have discounts for nearby accommodations and attractions.

Planning, selecting, and booking a perfect Southport rental:

  • Select your dates and maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your family needs. 1109 Blue Heaven by Atlantic Towers has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property owner before booking the home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Is your family looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly property. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, hosts charge additional pet fees.

More tips for your visit:

  • Take a copy of the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
  • During arrival, make note of any damages to the property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of problems.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let crooks ruin your family vacation.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a wonderful vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
