  • In the Southport area, The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked early. Booking your rental property up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • Summertime is high season in Wilmington. To find the best value, shift your family's Southport vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons.   • Re-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
