About the Area

Located on the beach, this condo is in Wilmington Beach, a neighborhood in Carolina Beach. Ocean Front Park and Federal Point History Center are cultural highlights, and some of the area's landmarks include Fort Fisher State Historic Site and Old Brunswick County Jail Museum. Carolina Beach Boardwalk and Odysea Surf and Kiteboard School are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

Find your perfect rental home:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Carolina Beach. Booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is an excellent way to save on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Southport vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.

  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property a final time and scan for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
