When to book a Southport rental & When to go:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Oak Island. To book the best rental for your budget, we recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at Southport restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family.
