Tips and Tricks to get the best rental home experience:

When to go & When to reserve a Carolina Beach rental home:

  • The earlier your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Reserving your rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Summer is high season in Carolina Beach. Booking your Southport vacation home in the Spring or Fall is an excellent way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes.
  • Some hosts offer discounts for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your family.
  • Booking websites typically offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Many property management companies supply Southport area travel guides which include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Southport area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Selecting and booking the bestrental:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your vacation dates, and choose a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Spacious condo with large deck to view the beautiful ocean just a few feet away. has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is regularly available on booking pages. If they are not listed, contact the property management company before booking the property. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you will need a pet-friendly property. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .

Know before you go:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are out, just like you would back home.
  • To make sure that no damages are linked to your family's stay, make a record of any problem areas during arrival. Get in touch with the property manager right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Be respectful. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed everything at check-out. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on great ratings to drive more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will will be grateful for your experience find their best vacation rental. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
