When to go & When to reserve a Southport rental home:

  • Summer is high season in Wilmington. Booking in the Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
  • The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • Some hosts offer special rates for veterans. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Property managers often offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance.
