Gause Landing! Private home rental. Magnificent home located on the Intracoastal Waterway at Ocean Isle Beach (Mainland side). Bring your family and make memories at one of the most special places on the Carolina coast. Spend the week or weekend being lazy among the massive oak trees, the changing tides and the handsome sunsets. You have found it, slice of heaven. The Mazelle Porch has been in our family for over 25 years and oh the memories we have made and now we want to share this gorgeous getaway with your family. Main floor, 2 bedrooms 2 bathrooms, kitchen, huge living room, sunroom, porches!!! Up to 4 people. This is a private rental. No one else in home or on property. This is just a way to stay at this ideal spot as a smaller group.

Ocean Isle Beach is home to this vacation home. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Russell Burgess Coastal Preserve and Heritage Shores Nature Preserve, while Museum of Coastal Carolina and Sunset River Marketplace are cultural highlights. Ingram Planetarium and Planet Fun are also worth visiting.

When to visit Ocean Isle Beach & When to book:

  • In the Southport area, The sooner your group can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
  • To find the most suitable rental for your budget, we highly recommend booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Southport vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your group.

  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a excellent vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
