The Salty Peach, a haven for two in the heart of Wilmington, NC. This chic studio harmonizes comfort and style for an memorable stay. Step into our inviting sitting space, a comfortable sanctuary beckoning you to relax after soaking up the sun on the beach or immersing yourself in the vibrant energy of downtown. Our thoughtfully equipped kitchen awaits, boasting modern amenities and essentials like coffee pods, creamer,& sugar. Drift off to sleep in the plush king bed & rejuvenate in the ensuite shower.

You'll have access to the guest unit and the sitting area out front. The backyard is a shared space with the "cowboy pool" and my two dogs, Hamilton and Boitano.

While I live on the property in the other unit with my two dogs, we keep to ourselves. We will give a hello if we see you, but it is possible we will never encounter each other. My dogs will try to convince you to let them visit you, but I prefer to keep the guest unit pet-complimentary.

The Salty Peach is located in the middle of town making getting to the beach or downtown simple with a 4-6 miles/ 10-15 min drive. Also close by you can find- the mall, access to the River to Sea Bikeway/ walking path, coffee stores, and Reggie's.

Parking for two cars is available in the driveway section on the right side of the home. Please do not block the driveway entry/exit.

While there is central AC and heating in the entire home, there are no AC/ heat controls in the guest unit. The unit has a space heater, ceiling fan, and portable fan for those who would like to adjust the temperature slightly. If you reach out to me between 7 am- 8 pm then I would be glad to make adjustments to the central controls within reason. My goal is for you to be cozy!

Wilmington rental home tips:

When to visit & When to reserve a Wilmington rental home:

  • Summer is the most expensive season in the Southport area. Reserve your vacation in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • Some hosts offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Look for your local Southport visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitors guides contain offers and deals for local shops and restaurants.

Make a plan and pick your Southport rental:

  • Select dates and maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. The Salty Peach, A Sweet Retreat has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Southport rental home search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible on booking websites. If not, call the property management company before reserving the rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.

Have a wonderful stay:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your visit, make a record of any problem areas during check in. Make contact with the property manager immediately to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent lots of issues.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let thieves spoil your family vacation.
  • On check-out day, take a walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a excellent time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
