Remodeled while keeping the old style beach bungalow nostalgia; this cozy bungalow is one of the original properties on Wrightsville Beach (1927).

This property features an open feel to savor the ocean or canal breezes from windows surrounding the home. Parking is ample under the home with a wide railed front porch overlooking both the ocean and the canal within 200 yards of getting sand in between your toes.

We spend countless hour’s people watching and appreciating the close proximity to all that Wrightsville has to offer.

The home features modest yet more than adequate amenities with heart-pine floors, two sizable bedrooms privately located, with bathrooms that offer plenty of room to move around.

The open den/dining/bar and kitchen areas offers you and your guests plenty of socializing within eyes and ears reach in case you leave your drink behind.

We leave the original Hatteras Hammock and our Brazilian Cherry Rocker's on the deck all season so you can appreciate the reason we raised this home up by 10 feet.

If you like an outdoor shower then you will appreciate our private get away with hot and cold so can you wash away the rejuvenating salt water after a long day soaking up the sun on the beach within 200 yards of the elevated porch.

If you need groceries, want to eat a great seafood meal, or want to rent a bicycle, surfboard, sailboat or sea-kayak then just pack a modest daypack and you're a six mins. walk from the center of Wrightsville Beach.

Of course if you need a new outfit or bathing suit you can duck into Sweet Water Surf Shop and find the ideal fit for beauty or beast. Just tell 'em you have a 'Local's Card' (15% discount!) but left it at OLE #3.

Perhaps you would like to fish off of the famed Johnnie Mercer's Pier; then just walk four mins. and you're on North Carolina's longest 'ocean front dock'.

If you want impressive blues skies and emerald water to match, with the best darn view and location on the beach then come relax at #3 West Fayetteville Street!

Strategies to get the perfect rental home experience:

Getting the best value:

  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer is high season in Wrightsville Beach. To find the best value, try shifting your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Often, property management companies supply Southport area visitor guides which often include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Southport visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Choose a designated group leader, select your vacation dates, and select a max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Tranquil Wrightsville Beach Cottage 200 Yds from the Sand!!! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property owner before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly property. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Additional considerations:

  • Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few concerns.
  • Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars spoil your vacation.
  • During arrival, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a great source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on great ratings to compel future bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will appreciate that you share your review find their best rental home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
