Welcome to our 2 bedroom and 1 bathroom home located on a double lot with amble room for boat parking. Clean, comfortable home in the wooded area of the island. The home is walking and cycling distance to the beach.

Our completely modernized home currently has 2 bedrooms and 1 full bathroom. One bedroom has a king bed. The other bedroom has 2 sets of bunk beds that are double beds on the bottom and twin beds on top. All living area is on the 2nd floor; garage area used for owner storage. Guests have access to washer/dryer downstairs. The home is on pilings and located on 2 tons with ample room for boat parking in front or beside the home.

This home has an open floor plan between the living room and kitchen. The living room has a sectional couch, ceiling fan and end tables. A huge flat screen TV with Apple TV & VHS/DVD player. High speed internet with Wi-Fi is available for your use.

The kitchen is equipped with brand new appliances, refrigerator/freezer/ice maker, Keurig coffee maker, stove/oven, microwave, blender, coffee cups, glass wear, silver wear, wine glasses and all other standard necessities for the kitchen and more.

Check-In is 4:00pm EST and Check-out is 10:00am EST

If you would like to bring your well-behaved dog, please message me BEFORE making a booking. Dogs are allowed only with prior approval; $75 non-returnable pet fee (2 dogs max.; no cats or other family pets accepted).

Oak Island has more than 60 public beach accesses as well as fishing docks and 2 piers, boat ramps and many other access points to the ICW and Davis Canal making this the ideal location for fishing, boating, kayaking and other water activities. Oak Island is less than one hour from Myrtle Beach, 30 mins. from Wilmington, NC and 10 mins. from shopping & dining in Historic Southport, NC (home of the movie Safe Haven).

About the Area

Located near the beach, this vacation home is in Long Beach, a neighborhood in Oak Island. Bald Head Island Lighthouse and Old Brunswick County Jail Museum are local landmarks, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Caswell Beach and 57th Place West Access Park. Bald Head Island Information Center and North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

Sticking to a rental home budget:

  • In the Southport area, The earlier you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • To book the best rental home for your budget, we suggest booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Southport attractions. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
  • Some owners offer rate reductions for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer customers an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.

  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a wonderful time? Many rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
