Located on one of the quietest stretches of West Beach, you'll find you're still walking distance of the Blue Water Point Marina and fashionable waterfront dining spot Lonerider's.

On the lower level, you'll find the open concept living space, decorated in calming grays and blues and flooded in natural light. Gather together and settle on the couch, appreciate seat or one of multiple armchairs to watch the big game. The wooden dining table seats eight comfortably, and a further three seats are available at the adjacent kitchen island.

The kitchen offers plenty of counter space and is entirely outfitted with all the cookware and appliances you need to prepare the catch of the day or family favorite recipes. Even though there's a dishwasher, you may find yourself washing everything by hand as you daydream to the striking vistas of the Atlantic from the windows over the sink.

All bedrooms in the home provide a TV for personal entertainment. The mid-level floor features two bedrooms and a shared standard full bathroom with hall access. One bedroom is furnished with a king bed, while the other holds a queen.

Strategies for getting the perfect vacation rental experience:

How to get the best value:

  • The sooner you can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked early. Booking your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • Summer time is high season in the Southport area. Reserve your rental property in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • Some property managers offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Property managers usually offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Southport area visitors guide magazines which will include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Narrow your Search:

  • Choose a designated group leader, select your trip dates, and choose a max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. West Haven: Oceanfront Split Level Home on Oak Island's West End has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Southport vacation rental search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is regularly available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the host before reserving your home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You will need to determine what is right for your vacation.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly property. Request details on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some property owners charge additional pet fees.
  • Is your family looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .

Tips for your stay:

  • Put the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let thieves spoil your holiday.
  • To make certain that damages are not attributed to your family's stay, note any problem areas during arrival. Contact the host right away to record your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible source for finding the best local scenic spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically help. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Double-check the property to make sure that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a fantastic stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
