  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Oak Island. To find the most suitable rental home within your budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Southport attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Southport vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
