4 Bedrooms | 4 Full Bathrooms | 1 Half Bathroom
1 King | 2 Queens | 1 Double-over-double Bunk Bed with Twin Trundle | 1 Queen Sleeper Couch

Stunning sunset vistas, white sand stretching out before your eyes, and even your furry co-pilot along for the ride – your next adventure begins at A New Hope! Float weightlessly in the private pool, gather on the wrap-around porches to lounge and appreciate the island breeze or settle around the front yard firepit during chilly weather as the soundtrack of the waves plays in the distance. Located just across the street from the shore and close to the Oak Island Pier, beach access is a breeze, and you can effortlessly walk to numerous local bars and eateries in the evenings.

On the first floor, you’ll enter into the smaller of two living rooms. A comfortable sectional and matching armchair still provide plenty of seating for your crew to savor a movie or stream a favorite show on the flatscreen TV. The sectional converts to a queen sleeper couch if additional sleeping space is needed. Two bedrooms, each with a queen bed, share a connecting full bath. Both feature direct deck access. The bunk room is also located on this floor with a double-over-double bunk bed along with a twin trundle. This room includes a private full bath, and there is an additional full bathroom with hall access just off the living room to ensure everybody has enough space to get ready.

Upstairs, you’ll find an open concept main living space flooded with natural light. Thanks to the reverse floorplan and broad windows, you’ll take in impressive vistas of the Atlantic from the high ground whether you sink into the couches or venture out to the covered porch beyond. The sturdy dining table just beyond the living room can seat up to ten for both family meals and friendly game nights. The adjacent kitchen has plenty of counter space and all the appliances and cookware you’ll need to prepare freshly caught fish or seasonal produce from local markets. Plus, a dedicated pantry means there’s actually enough room to put your supplies away! A half bath is located just off the kitchen for your convenience.

The master bedroom is also located on this floor, complete with a king bed and direct deck access. Wake up to the sights and sounds of the waves each morning! As in all of the downstairs bedrooms, there is a flatscreen TV for personal entertainment. The attached private bath features a walk-in tiled shower with a rainfall showerhead as well as a detachable handheld wand.

In the backyard, the fenced pool area features tropical landscaping and plenty of furnishings for catching a tan or dining al fresco. The pool itself is huge enough for everybody to splash or float comfortably, and even includes a tanning ledge. The enclosed outdoor shower makes cleaning the sand off of kids or canines (this home accepts up to one dog per stay) simple and convenient. In the front yard, Adirondack chairs are arranged around the firepit. Tell stories to the little ones as you’re dramatically lit by firelight and teach the time-honored tradition of roasting the ideal marshmallow to the crashing music of the waves. Set your course, gather your crew and have a blast on a classic beach adventure at A New Hope!

Getting the best Oak Island vacation property experience:

When to book a Southport rental & When to go:

  • In the Southport area, The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Booking your vacation home in Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property management companies typically offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines contain offers and deals for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Selecting the best vacation home in the Southport area:

  • Start by having your family decide on a vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. A New Hope: Ocean View with Private Pool and Easy Beach Access has 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible on booking pages. If not, call the property management company before you reserve the rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to establish what configuration is optimal for your vacation.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you must book a rental that allows animals. Get information on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you looking for special amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental home.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .

Considerations for your stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Save the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few problems.
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Record any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are useful if damages are assessed.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers bothering your peace. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • When it's time to leave, complete a walk-through to make sure you haven't forget anything. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on good ratings to compel more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
