Welcome to the Babe Cave! You’ve found the ideal place to stay in Wilmington! Just a short drive to the beaches or Historic Downtown. UNCW is just 2 miles away. Long Leaf Park is very close (we appreciate riding our bicycles here and stopping at Brewers Kettle.) Babe Cave offers dedicated parking beside the bungalow (as many as 5 cars.) The drive way is sizable so it is painless to come and go. You can savor board games, TV, fire pit, covered patio with outdoor kitchen and a back private deck to relax. In the bathroom and under the sink you will find: additional towels and wash cloths, laundry detergent and dryer sheets.
Each reservation we will provide a starter set of toilet paper and paper towels. In addition we will also provide: Shampoo, Conditioner, and Dove Body Soap in the main shower.

About the Area

Wilmington is home to this cottage. Children's Museum of Wilmington and Wrightsville SUP are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those looking for area attractions can visit Carolina Beach Boardwalk and Jungle Rapids Family Fun Park. Stanley Rehder Carnivorous Plant Garden and New Hanover County Arboretum are also worth visiting.

  • Upon check-out, take a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to stimulate future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review find their best rental home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
