Getting the best rental home experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • Summer months are high season in Carolina Beach. To get the best value, consider shifting your trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic.
  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Often, property management companies supply Southport area visitor guides which often include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Southport visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Filter your rental search:

  • Start by having your family choose the best dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your group needs. Boardwalk 301 - Oceanfront Condo located at the Boardwalk! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email the host before booking the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine what is suitable for your vacation.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you must reserve a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some property owners charge additional pet fees.

During your stay:

  • Add the owner's information to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • To make sure damages aren't linked to your stay, make a record of any problem areas upon your arrival. message the property manager right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent a lot of issues.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Double-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on good feedback to inspire future reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
