It is also within a five-to-ten-min. drive of the Fort Fisher Historical Site, the NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher, and the Fort Fisher-Southport Ferry.

*Please keep in mind that if you are renting a property with a pool during the off-season, it may not be open or available. Pools are usually open from mid- May to September, but dates can vary based on weather, permits, HOA guidelines, inspections, improvements, and unforeseen events. • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Southport area. Reserving a rental home in the Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
