When to go & When to book:

  • In the Southport area, The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.

You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Southport attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Southport vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.

  • Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
