Vacation rental home tips and tricks:

Find your perfect rental home:

  • The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • Summer is high season in Ocean Isle Beach. To find the best value, try shifting your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warm weather, , and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Southport vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Some property management companies offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Look for your local Southport area magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines contain discounts for nearby tours and attractions.

Selecting and booking your prefectrental home:

  • First and foremost, have your group commit to dates and a max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. CottageVacations4u \"Ocean Paradise\" -Ocean views! -pool club-dog friendly- elevator has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible online. If they are not listed, reach out to the host before booking your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you must book a rental that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Does your family require particular amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Advice for a wonderful stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your phone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of difficulties.
  • Lock your rental while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • To make certain that damages are not attributed to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas when you arrive. Speak to the rental manager right away to document any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a excellent vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
