Welcome to our beautiful bungalow, located within walking distance to the Cargo and Castle St districts! Steps to shopping, dining & bars! Visiting for fun? We're close to local music venues, downtown Wilmington, beaches, and the airport. Work-friendly with an office space and printer and only 2 mi from the hospital. Savor a completely supplied kitchen, blackout curtains for restful sleep, and an outdoor space for games and calming!

Living Room / Dining Room / Office:
-There is a couch bed with a queen-size gel foam bed, intelligent TV with Roku, dining room table and benches, and a desk and chair with a printer and paper available in the TV console.

Bedroom 1:
-There is a king-size bed with an attached bathroom with a bathtub. There is a dresser as well as a closet to hang clothing items.

Bedroom 2:
-There is a queen-size bed with an attached bathroom with a shower that is also accessible from the living room. There is a clothes hangar for your clothing items.

Kitchen:
-Totally supplied kitchen with pots and pans, silverware, glassware, and spices.

Outdoor Space:
-Front porch with two sets of tables and chairs. The backyard has an outdoor couch, green space, and a propane grille.
-There is access from the front porch as well as the back. There are stairs with railings in both areas and the home is one level.

We supply:

-Additional towels, linens, pillows, and blankets available
-Jenga and mini cornhole boards for entertainment
-Intelligent TV with Roku to use with your streaming app logins

Guest access:
-You'll have access to the entire home except for the owners closet in the second bedroom.

Other things to note:
-There is a $50 PER DOG/PER STAY fee. Unfortunately, cats are not allowed due to allergies.
-Potential for noise due to close proximity to the downtown area.

Wilmington is home to this vacation home. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Wrightsville Beach and Carolina Beach. Cape Fear Museum and Children's Museum of Wilmington are also worth visiting.

Tips and Tricks to get the best vacation property experience:

When to visit Wilmington & When to reserve a rental home:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Southport area. Booking your vacation rental in Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Southport vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • In the Southport area, The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Reserving your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.

  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is almost always available online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property manager before you book the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You'll need to work out what is optimal for your vacation.
  • Does your group require unique amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and others do not. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the owner about allowable breeds and types before booking.

Some things to know before you go:

  • We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Upon check-in, note any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent a lot of difficulties.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at departure. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and look for damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a excellent time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
