(5BR/5.5BA,3K,1Q,2Tw,SL10, 2 golf carts, Sunday Turn in Peak Season, CHECK OUT 10:00AM / CHECK IN 5:30PM)
Only 200 steps down your private boardwalk, the warm sands of Bald Head Island's South Beach await when you stay at Dune Eden, an executive oceanfront getaway providing five bedrooms/5.5 baths and spectacular seascapes inside and out.

The main home and crofter are cloistered around an entrance courtyard. The main home's first level homes the garages and egress to the beach access. Up the stairs, the next level proffers a deep, covered TREX wraparound porch, bayed on the oceanside and furnished with a dining set as well as seating for conversation or serene contemplation of the unobstructed Atlantic vistas.

From here, you can take the spiral staircase to the upper sundeck or enter inside. Within, this floor reveals crafted, bespoke details around every corner-from the extravagant Cypress wainscoting to the plank floor and original art. The three bedrooms on this level start with a roomy twin which utilizes the convenient hall full bath. The first cavernous King suite renders pretty water tableaus, direct porch access and includes a comfortable private sitting area as well as a spa-like bath with a sunken jetted tub, separate tile shower, water closet and his/her vanities. The second King suite also delights with its own en suite. A centrally-located family room completes this floor and tenders a wet bar, loads of constructed-ins, a decorative fireplace and porch access.

The home's top level's open floor plan is accentuated by soaring shiplapped ceilings, walls of windows showcasing dazzling Atlantic panoramas and loads of warm sunlight. The roomy, cozy living area is anchored by another decorative enormous fireplace with a massive Pecky Cypress distressed wood mantel. The hub of the indoor dining space, located in an oversize bay that provides shimmering vistas from every angle, is a bespoke compass table seating eight under a classy shell chandelier. Dine here or al fresco, through the door to the sun deck, where yet another dining set and conversation area offer Atlantic breezes as well as seascapes. Back inside, beyond the dining area, a mammoth quartz island provides breakfast bar seating at each end, a professional Viking gas prepare top in the middle and plenty of prep space in-between. From the wet bar and wine cooler to the professional Viking stainless appliances-this kitchen is a gourmet's delight!

The upper oceanfront King Owner's suite on this level affords a refuge with its private sitting area, porch access and opulent spa-like ensuite. The home's crofter provides another separate sanctuary in the form of a Queen suite with not only a full bath but also a wet bar and mini refrigerator. The property includes use of two golf carts and WWP's 24/7 Property Manager Assistance Line-which means you can reach needed help even after hours or on weekends. For a little piece of heaven on Bald Head, book your stay at Dune Eden.

Booking the best Bald Head Island vacation home experience:

Get the most from your rental budget:

  • Summer time is high season in the Southport area. To find the most suitable rental home for your budget, we suggest reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Southport attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Property management companies often offer customers an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Southport area visitor guides which include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Southport area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Start by selecting vacation dates and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Dune Eden-Executive oceanfront retreat steps from the sand! has 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible online. If they are not listed, call the host before you book your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what bed configuration is right for your vacation group.
  • Are you looking for particular amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or applied to your agreement.

More tips for your stay:

  • Store the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
  • During check-in, make note of any issues with the property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents many issues.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible source for finding the best local beaches.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental home while you are out. Keep your property safe!
  • Double-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed everything at check-out. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a fantastic vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
