How to book the best rental home experience:

When to go & When to reserve a rental home:

  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer months are high season in Holden Beach. To get the best value, change your trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Southport vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Some owners offer rate reductions for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Often, property management companies supply Southport area travel guide magazines which will include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Southport area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Filter your search:

  • First and foremost, have your family select trip dates and a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Full Circle - Beautiful Ocean Views! Great Family Vacation Home! has 6 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the host before you reserve your rental. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds.
  • Some properties allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the owner about pets before booking.
  • Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent many difficulties.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
  • To ensure that damages are not linked to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon check in. E-mail the rental manager immediately to document any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your peaceful home. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and look for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave a review! Property managers rely on great ratings to compel new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will be thankful you shared your review find their best rental home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
