You will adore everything Timbercreek 18A has to offer for your vacation to Bald Head Island. Besides the comfortable accommodations and the pretty creek vistas, you have access to one of the few private pools on the island and our Timbercreek dock. Our rental is available for 7 nighttime stays from Sunday to Sunday from early June through the last week of August. Not as many nights required during the off summer season. Feel complimentary to use our two kayaks to discover the creek. The dock also accepts for crabbing and fishing just steps from the condo. We provide two golf carts for exploring the island and for simple access to the beach of course!

There is a garage that stores one of the golf carts, beach amenities, and a full size washer and dryer. All Timbercreek buildings consist of two properties. The A unit is the top floor, the B unit is the middle floor and the garages are on the base floor. The buildings are gorgeously spaced apart so you can savor sitting on the outdoor screened in porch. We have comfortable patio seating for 6-7 guests.

You have the option to purchase a weekly membership to the Bald Head Island Club for access to their pools, tennis courts, eateries, and golf course.

About the Area

Bald Head Island is home to this condo. Kent Mitchell Nature Trail and The Clubs at St. James are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those looking for area attractions can visit North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport and Bald Head Island Information Center. With kayaking, motor boating, and surfing/body boarding nearby, you'll find plenty of adventures in the water.

Finding the best rental home value:

  • The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your rental six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season in coastal NC. Booking your vacation rental in Fall or Spring months is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Southport vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines contain discounts for local tours, shops, and attractions.

  • Inspect the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on good feedback to compel future reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective.
