You will appreciate everything Timbercreek 18A has to offer for your vacation to Bald Head Island. Besides the comfortable accommodations and the pretty creek vistas, you have access to one of the few private pools on the island and our Timbercreek dock. Our rental is available for 7 nighttime stays from Sunday to Sunday from early June through the last week of August. Not as many nights required during the off summer season. Feel complimentary to use our two kayaks to discover the creek. The dock also accepts for crabbing and fishing just steps from the condo. We provide two golf carts for exploring the island and for painless access to the beach of course!

There is a garage that stores one of the golf carts, beach amenities, and a full size washer and dryer. All Timbercreek buildings consist of two properties. The A unit is the top floor, the B unit is the middle floor and the garages are on the base floor. The buildings are gorgeously spaced apart so you can savor sitting on the outdoor screened in porch. We have comfortable patio seating for 6-7 guests.

You have the option to purchase a weekly membership to the Bald Head Island Club for access to their pools, tennis courts, eateries, and golf course.

How to find the best rental home experience:

How to get the best value:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. To get the best value, try changing your vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, , and reduced traffic.
  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property management companies frequently offer customers an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Southport area travel guides that include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Southport visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Make a plan and pick your prefect Southport rental:

  • To start, have your family select a vacation week and a max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Marsh Madness at Timbercreek 18A has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property manager before booking your home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish what is best for your group.
  • Are you looking for special amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, filter your search for a rental that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some property managers charge additional pet fees.

Have a wonderful stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Save the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas upon your arrival. Make contact with the property manager immediately to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property one final time and scan for damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on good ratings to drive more reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
