Our top Carolina Beach rental booking tips and tricks:

When to book & When to go:

  • The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • Summer is high season in Carolina Beach. To find the largest rental within budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Southport attractions.
  • Hosts sometimes offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers usually offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Southport area visitor guides which include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Southport visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to choose the best rental in the Southport area:

  • Start by having your family select date ranges and a budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Captain's Quarter (2-Bedroom Villa) by RedAwning has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible online. If they are not listed, reach out to the host before you book your home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to determine what configuration is suitable for your trip.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and others don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • If there's an individual Southport beach you are crazy about, keep an eye out for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Advice for your stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Add a note with the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let crooks ruin your family vacation.
  • To ensure that no damages are linked to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas during check in. Get in touch with the rental manager right away to record your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • At departure, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget anything. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on great reviews to drive new reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best vacation home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
