OTHER THINGS TO NOTE

• We provide a charcoal grille to use in the grass area off of the ground floor patio deck. NO BBQing on ANY patio, decks or porches. • Please always consider TRAVEL INSURANCE to help protect your costs in case of inclement weather or last-min. travel complications (court, illness, etc.). These items are NOT returnable scenarios unless the property itself is compromised. If that does happen, we will do our absolute best to find you alternative housing.

Strategies to get the perfect vacation rental experience:

When to visit & When to reserve a Carolina Beach rental home:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season in the Southport area. To find the best value, consider changing your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some owners offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines have coupons for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Planning and choosing the best Southport rental home:

  • Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and select a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Spectacular OCEANFRONT Escape!! Spacious, Newly Renovated, Close to Everything! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is often accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the property owner before you reserve the rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to work out what bed configuration is right for your family.
  • Looking for specific amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or applied to your invoice.

Advice for a fantastic stay:

  • Take a copy of the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
  • To make sure that no damages are attributed to your family's stay, make note of any problem areas upon your arrival. Make contact with the property manager right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be respectful. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your rental while you're out. Keep your property safe!
  • Double-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed everything on check-out day. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a terrific vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
