You'll really find everything you need for your next Oak Island stay at this 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom vacation home — including beach gear (like chairs and a wagon). Plus, it's conveniently located in the West Beach area, right down the road from Lonerider and The Point.

Upon walking in, you're instantly greeted into the bright and airy living space featuring vaulted ceilings with exposed white wooden beams, coastal modern decor, and wood floor! The living area features plenty of comfortable seating to snuggle up on and watch your favorite shows or movies on the 55-inch flatscreen TV. No expense was spared in the remodel of this oceanside bungalow! The completely equipped kitchen has new stainless steel appliances, ample counter space, and striking cabinetry. The breakfast bar, with seating for up to 4, is the ideal spot for a fast morning treat or snacks throughout the day. And, when you're ready to sit down for a meal or to play a board game, the high-top dining table offers seating for 6.

The elegant design continues into all 4 bedrooms, with high ceilings, coastal-inspired furnishings, and an abundance of natural light! The primary bedroom features a cozy king-size bed, flatscreen TV, and elegant ocean vistas. The second bedroom features a king size bed, ocean vistas, and a flatscreen TV. The third bedroom also has a queen size bed and a flatscreen TV. The fourth and final bedroom is charming for kids and younger travelers, with 2 sets of bunk beds and a flatscreen TV. You'll find two cavernous shared bathrooms that have been handsomely modernized with bespoke tiled shower/tub combinations and modern finishings.

One of our favorite traits of this Oak Island vacation home is the enchanting private boardwalk to the beach! It has constructed-in bench seating and an outdoor shower to conveniently rinse off after an afternoon or sunset walk on the beach. There is also plenty of seating for your entire family and group to relax on the covered front and back porches! Downstairs on the ground level is where you will find the modernized laundry room with a full-size washer and dryer and covered parking for two cars.

But the amenities don't stop there — you'll have access to high-speed wireless internet for those who need to stay connected and so much more. What are you waiting for? Grab your "mateys" and book your stay at Ahoy There today! NO FAMILY PETS ACCEPTED.

Guest reservations of 3 to 21 nights come with a valuable credit to use towards beach gear units during your stay! You may use your credit for bicycles, beach chairs and umbrellas, beach carts, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, and more! The choice is yours! For this home you are eligible for up to $245.00 credit on any beach gear! Book now to reserve your gear today!

Please Note: Linens are supplied with your reservation and contain the following: flat and fitted bed sheets, pillowcases, bath towels, hand towels, and washcloths.

We know you want to relax without stopping at the store when you get to the island. To get you started, we provide a welcome kit that includes trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper, a dishwasher pod, a washing machine pod, dishwashing soap, hand soap at every sink, bath soap, and shampoo/conditioner.

As you will find when selecting dates on the calendar, there are minimum stay requirements based on the season. There is a 7 nighttime minimum with a mandatory Saturday to Saturday rental pattern in the peak summer months, and there is more flexibility in the slower seasons. Oak Island rental booking tips:

When to book a Southport rental & When to go:

  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is high season in the Southport area. Booking your vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties.
  • Hosts sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Property management companies frequently offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Look for your local Southport visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guide magazines have discounts for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

Planning, picking, and booking a perfect Southport vacation home:

  • Begin by selecting your potential vacation weeks and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Oceanfront Beach Cottage w\/ Modern Renovation & Private Boardwalk has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is generally available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before you reserve your rental. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a property that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

More tips for your stay:

  • Add the host's information to your phone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few difficulties.
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out. Keep your property safe!
  • At Check-in, make note of any damages to the property and immediately alert the owner. Record all coorespondence.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers bothering your life at home. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at departure. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to stimulate future reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches. See for yourself by scanning the QR code and call Victory Beach Vacations at 910.458.0868 to book your Cape Fear getaway. Start making your memories today! —Grace Silipigni
