Welcome to Sailfish in Carolina Beach! You will have access to the first floor of this bungalow. It features one bed and one bath, a front porch, and steps away from the sand! We are three homes back from the ocean, and you get a sliver of a view from the front porch! Looking for a calming time, ambiance? This is it!

This impressive first floor unit is light and cavernous! The comfortable sectional in the living room is the ideal place to relax after a day at the beach. The kitchen, with a subway tile back splash and retro modern refrigerator, is outfitted with the essentials you'd need to appreciate a home cooked meal during your stay. It is open to the dining area with plenty of seating. The roomy bedrooms features a king size bed with comfortable linens. The bathroom has been refreshed with tile floors and subway tile walls. One of the best parts of this unit is the front porch where you can savor your morning coffee while taking in the sea breeze.

We are located a block from the beach in one direction and a block from the intracoastal in the other, so you are never very far from the water!

Guests will have access to the entire downstairs unit in the bungalow. There is a locked owner's closet for our storage, but other than that everything inside is at your disposal. There may be guests staying in the upstairs unit during your stay, but it has a completely separate entrance.

There is a parking spot for 1 car in the driveway in front of the home.

About the Area

Carolina Beach is home to this condo. Fort Fisher State Historic Site and Old Brunswick County Jail Museum are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Carolina Beach Arcade and Carolina Beach Yacht Club and Marina. Carolina Beach Boardwalk and Odysea Surf and Kiteboard School are also worth visiting.

Finding your perfect rental home:

  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Booking in Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer special rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Booking websites usually offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Southport visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines contain discounts for local accommodations and attractions.

Selecting and booking the right Southport rental home:

  • First, have your family agree to date ranges and a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Sailfish B - Close to the Beach has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property management company before you book your home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You'll need to determine which bed configuration is suitable for your family.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • If there's a specific Southport destination you are crazy about, look for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .

More considerations for your visit:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Record any damages to the property during check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be very helpful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your quiet neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Just before checking out, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget anything. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, take pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a wonderful vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
