The octagonal deck is ONLY accessible from WAVE WONDER or if you rent the full home WAVE SHACK. It is not accessible through a Sand Shack only rental.

Located near the beach, this cottage is in Long Beach, a neighborhood in Oak Island. Franklin Square Gallery and Old Brunswick County Jail Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's attractions include Bald Head Island Information Center and North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport. North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher and Magic Mountain Fun Park are also worth visiting.

When to book a Southport rental home & When to go:

• Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.

Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish what is suitable for your vacation family.
