Rental property booking tips:

When to book & When to go:

  • The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • Summer time is high season in Carolina Beach. To get the best value, consider shifting your family's Southport vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warm weather, , and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Southport vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Some property management companies offer rate reductions for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property managers typically offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Southport visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitors guides contain deals for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Selecting the best vacation rental in Carolina Beach:

  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. ?? Sea Colony A3: Oceanfront Deck, Pool, Hot Tub?? has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Southport rentals search.

  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .

During your stay:

  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are out, just like you would back home.
  • To make certain that damages are not linked to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas during check in. E-mail the property manager right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors disrupting your peace. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Re-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed everything at check-out. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave feedback! Property owners rely on great ratings to stimulate more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review find their best vacation home. Remember to be objective.
