There’s room for the whole group to gather when you rent both sides of this cavernous, oceanfront duplex – and the view is pretty great, too. Two full kitchens, complete with all the appliances, make meal prep for a crowd painless. Two full living rooms mean plenty of space to spread out at the end of a fun day on the beach. The group will appreciate dining alfresco on the enormous waterfront deck steps from the sand, and because you’re so close to the water, it’s simple to come home during the day for snacks.

Rinse off in the convenient outdoor shower in the evening and head out to one of many close by eateries if you’re not dining at home. Unwind in the central AC with a little TV, complete with complimentary cable, or post the day’s pics to your social media accounts before bed. Six comfortable bedrooms await when you get sleepy. For your convenience, a private washer/dryer is available for use.

How to get the best rental value:

  • The sooner your group can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Booking your rental up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. Booking your Southport vacation home in Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Some hosts offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites usually offer renters an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.

  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • At departure, take a walk-through to make sure you haven't leave anything behind. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
