Strategies to get the best Southport vacation property experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • In the Southport area, The sooner your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked early. Booking your rental property 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • Summertime is high season in the Southport area. To get the largest rental for your budget, we suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
  • Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Southport area visitor guide magazines which include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Southport visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Selecting and booking yourrental:

  • Choose a designated group leader, choose your vacation dates, and choose a budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Station One - 7C Bowers - Oceanfront condo with community pool, tennis, beach has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Southport vacation rental search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually available online. Otherwise, reach out to the property management company before reserving your home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property management company about your furry family members before booking.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction or event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .

Tips to have a fantastic stay:

  • Put the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let burglars ruin your trip.
  • To make certain that no damages are attributed to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas when you arrive. Make contact with the property manager right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Double-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to propel new reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
