An open layout features a full kitchen and an inviting living area with a intelligent TV - ideal for movie nights. Step out to the private deck and savor front-row ocean vistas. A gas grille and picnic table set the scene for cookouts at home.

Spend the day splashing in the ocean or calming on the soft sand. Or walk to close by Middleton Park, where you’ll find a neighborhood playground, tennis courts, pickleball courts, a soccer field, and a picnic shelter. Southport is within a short drive, and Bald Head Island is a fast ferry ride away.

Located on the beach, this vacation home is in Long Beach, a neighborhood in Oak Island. Bald Head Island Lighthouse and Old Brunswick County Jail Museum are local landmarks, and some of the area's attractions include Bald Head Island Information Center and North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport. North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher and Magic Mountain Fun Park are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

When to go & When to book:

The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked early. Booking your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.

You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Southport attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer customers an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your quiet neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known about!
Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected everything. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
Go through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition.
