Tips and Tricks to get the optimal vacation property experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season in Carolina Beach. Booking your Southport vacation rental in Fall or Spring months is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes.
  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Property managers typically offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Look for your local Southport visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines have coupons for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Make a plan and choose the bestvacation home:

  • Select your dates and spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Ventnor Shores - Safe Family and Pet Friendly Haven has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Southport rental home search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, call the host before you book the vacation property. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish what is best for your trip.
  • If there's a certain Southport beach you crave, search for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a rental that allows animals. Request information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.

More tips for your visit:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your phone.
  • Document any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately contact the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are helpful if a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few concerns.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers bothering your peace. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to inspire new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will will be grateful for your feedback find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
