When making a reservation, you must be 25 to rent with us. We do not rent to locals.
All guests must sign an Affordable Substantial Properties rental agreement and also submit a copy of their Drivers License to Affordable Giant Properties. Also, the renter must be 25 years of age or older. Affordable Sizable Properties will cancel the reservation if you are under the age of 25 and or a local.

When to book & When to go:

• The earlier your group can book, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are booked early. Booking your vacation rental six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
• June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. Booking in the Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Southport vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
• Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
• Booking websites typically offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
• Many management companies supply Southport area visitor guide magazines that include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Southport visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You will need to work out what is optimal for your vacation group.

• Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
• Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
• Did your family have a great time? Most rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they always love to hear your praise.
