Starboard By The Sea is one of the most revisited communities in OIB and has 3 dedicated pools, 3 tennis courts, private beach access and fishing docks.The unit is ~1100 SF. The main living room includes a huge sectional couch with a 65” intelligent TV with the ability to stream multiple platforms. Central A/C, 500mbps WIFI, and kitchen supplied with cookware, drinkware, and basic silverware. There are (2) outdoor decks- one facing the tennis courts/community and one facing Jinks creek. Our home is not just a rental property. It is a second home that we just happen to sometimes rent out. We adore spending time there with our two boys along with family and friends. As you will read below, nearly everything in the home has been redone and designed for you to entirely appreciate your vacation! The photos of the home are a true representation. You will NOT show up and be disappointed in the quality and condition of the property! We are the corner home on a side street that features a public beach access. The access is less than a 100 yards away making it super painless if you have tons of beach toys, a heavy cooler, or if you need to run back to the home for something. After a fun day at the beach, walk on back to shower off in the outdoor shower and relax at the pool surrounded by a privacy fence. The home features an open living area and kitchen that is great for huge families and groups of friends. The living area is lined with upsized windows creating a ton of natural light. The whole home was outfitted in new decor creating a bright beachy vibe. The master suite features a king bed and is located on the main floor. The master bathroom has a brand new bespoke walk-in shower and double vanity with new granite countertops. Also down stairs is the “bunk room” which hosts a full bed on the bottom and twin up top. The unit's ONE QUEEN AND ONE FULL bed consists of either a plush luxury bed or a new encased 8” memory foam/cooling gel composition bed because we want all of our guests to be cozy when it comes time to recharge. There is one intelligent TV in each suite to utilize one's personal subscriptions (such as Netflix or Hulu) along with a WIFI computer connection for when it's time to sit back and savor some movies or shows after a long day at the beach! PARKING: Each reservation will have access to (1) ONE 8'x14' assigned parking space in the main lot off of Lake Park blvd S. Taxi’s (local golf cart taxi’s) and Uber’s are also generally available for an assist when needed as well throughout the island! You can catch a Ferry to Southport in Kure Beach @ 2422 Fort Fisher Blvd S Kure Beach which leads to another ferry to Bald Head Island where NO CARS are allowed at all! After all, you won’t catch many locals going OTB! (Over The Bridge). Pool and Pool HeatingThe pool is open year round, however between April 1 - Oct 31 the heater will be on and typically keeps the pool water between 80-84 degrees depending on outside air temperatures and weather. Please keep in mind that the heater only runs when the pool pump is running and typically the pump does not run at nighttime due to time schedule.*Please note, pools will NOT be heated November 1 - March 31*. If you want us to attempt to heat the pool during this time we can for a cost of $75 per day for your entire stay, but once again, we can not guarantee the pool water temperatures due to the dependency of the weather and air temperatures.The pool and/or spa is private and unattended, so swim at your own risk. All kids must be supervised in the water at all times by an adult. No food, drinks, alcohol, glass, etc are allowed in or around the pool.
