Rescue Me is a modern, roomy, single family ocean front home located on the East end of the Island. Breath taking vistas of the Atlantic Ocean are directly visible from the interior of the home as well as the decks and screened in porch.
Interior amenities include WIFI, central heat & air, washer, dryer, dishwasher, microwave, Keurig Coffeemaker, ceiling fans, 3 color TVs, DVD player & VHS. Exterior amenities include outside shower, screened porch, sundeck & covered porch. This is stringently a non smoking, no family pets home that is not equipped for EV charging.

About the Area

Located in Sunset Beach, this vacation home is by the ocean. Sunset River Marketplace and Museum of Coastal Carolina are cultural highlights, and some of the area's attractions include Ingram Planetarium and Tribal Island. Planet Fun and Molten Mountain are also worth visiting.

Finding your best deal:

  • The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved very early. Booking your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Summertime is high season in Sunset Beach. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property managers typically offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Southport visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations.   • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .

Have a wonderful stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your phone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, elevator or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few issues.
  • Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let thieves ruin your family vacation.
  • Document any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately contact the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be very helpful if a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors bothering your peace. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Just prior to departing, take a walk-through to make sure you haven't leave anything behind. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent ratings to drive new reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation.
