Located near the beach, this cottage is in Long Beach, a neighborhood in Oak Island. Smith Island Museum of History and Franklin Square Gallery are cultural highlights, and some of the area's landmarks include Bald Head Island Lighthouse and Old Brunswick County Jail Museum. When to book & When to go:

  • In the Southport area, The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To book the largest rental home within budget, we recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Booking websites typically offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection.
