How to book the best Southport vacation property experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. Booking a rental in the Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Southport vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • The sooner your group can book, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Booking your rental home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your family qualifies for a special rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Southport area visitors guides that include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Southport visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Choose a designated group leader, select your vacation week, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Hobbs Realty - \"Enjoy the Show\" in this oceanfront home with swimming pool! has 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email the host before booking your home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you must book a property that allows animals. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some property owners charge additional pet fees.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • During check-in, note any damages to the property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents quite a few concerns.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your rental home while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • When it's time to leave, complete a walk-through to make sure you did not leave anything behind. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a excellent stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches. See for yourself by scanning the QR code and call Victory Beach Vacations at 910.458.0868 to book your Cape Fear getaway. Start making your memories today! —Grace Silipigni
