Booking the best Holden Beach vacation home experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Booking your vacation rental in the Spring or Fall is a great way to save money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Booking websites usually offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Look for your local Southport area magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitor guides contain deals for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Planning, selecting, and booking yourvacation home:

  • Select your dates and spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Upper unit canal home. Short walk to Holden Beach. Excellent location! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often available online. Otherwise, call the host before booking your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, search for a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's an individual Southport beach you love, look for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.

Tips to have a fantastic stay:

  • Get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of difficulties.
  • Lock your rental while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • To make certain that damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, inspect the property for any problem areas during check in. Make contact with the host immediately to relay any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • At departure, take a final walk-through to make sure you haven't leave anything behind. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to inspire new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
