32 Sandpiper is an oceanfront three bedroom home that makes you feel like you are on an Island at the "End of the World". Set privately at the end of an oceanfront cul de sac, this home features impressive sunsets over the less busy South and West beaches. Ships can be seen in the distance going to and from the shipping channel to Wilmington. Beach access is directly across from the private driveway to 32 Sandpiper Trail. This home may have the very best sunsets on the Island, you might just see the green flash!

Inside you will find a completely refreshed and updated interior with a reverse floor plan, upstairs you will find a enormous open floor plan with cathedral ceilings. The living room opens onto a covered veranda with Adirondack chairs and rocking chairs to soak in the striking ocean vistas. The kitchen features upgraded stainless appliances, quartz counter tops. Two light homes can be seen! The kids bunk room is also upstairs and sleeps 3.

Downstairs, you will find two master bedrooms. One with a King, an d the other with two Queen beds. Both bedrooms open onto a first floor covered porch with great vistas.

Sleeps 9. Two golf carts are supplied. A BHI Club Lifestyle membership is available but not supplied. A Shoals Club is also available but not included.

Bikes are not serviced or maintained by BHIR, therefore if they are not satisfactory we recommend renting bicycles and umbrellas from Riverside Adventure Company or Coastal Urge.

About the Area

Located on the beach, this vacation home is in West Beach, a neighborhood in Bald Head Island. Smith Island Museum of History and North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport are cultural highlights, and some of the area's landmarks include Bald Head Island Lighthouse and Oak Island Lighthouse. Bald Head Island Information Center and North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher are also worth visiting.

  • Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family.
  • Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses.   • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all belongings. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and scan for damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a great vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
