The pool is open year round, however between April 1 - Oct 31 the heater will be on and typically keeps the pool water between 80-84 degrees depending on outside air temperatures and weather. There is no additional cost to heat the pool, but we can not guarantee the pool water temperatures due to the dependency of the weather and air temperatures. Please keep in mind that the heater only runs when the pool pump is running and typically the pump does not run at nighttime due to time schedule.

*Please note, pools will NOT be heated November 1 - March 31*. If you want us to attempt to heat the pool during this time we can for a cost of $75 per day for your entire stay, but once again, we can not guarantee the pool water temperatures due to the dependency of the weather and air temperatures.

The pool and/or spa is private and unattended, so swim at your own risk. All kids must be supervised in the water at all times by an adult. No food, drinks, alcohol, glass, etc are allowed in or around the pool. Pools are serviced regularly, however please keep in mind that due to the tropical nature of the island, it is not unusual to find unexpected debris and sand in the pool.

​​​​​​​We cannot guarantee the elevator will be working due to circumstances out of our control. Please read elevator instructions CAREFULLY before operating (found in the notebook at the home). User error will result in a $100 service charge. No kids are allowed in the elevator without an adult. Use at your own risk.

PLEASE READ RULES / NOTES PRIOR TO BOOKING:

If your check in date is on or between Memorial Day and Labor Day, your cleaning fee does include whole home linen and towel rental fee. Linen and towel service includes top and fitted sheets per bed, pillow cases, and 1 set of towels will be supplied per person (1 set includes: 1 body towel, 1 hand towel, and 1 washcloth), and a kitchen towel.

If your check in date is before Memorial Day or after Labor Day, linens and towels are NOT supplied in the cleaning fee. We do offer them for an additional fee, or you can choose to bring your own linens and towels, or rent through a third event.

**(Last min. bookings: We need at least 24-hour notice in order to provide linens).

We highly recommend trip insurance and will not give any refunds for weather related trip interruptions or cancellations as well as any other situations that may cause you not be able to travel or use the property.

If you cancel at least 60 days prior to your check in date, you will be refunded in full minus a non-returnable fee of 5% of the total reservation (cancellation fee). Cancellations within 60 days prior to check in will not be refunded.

Due to homeowner severe allergies, some homes may not allow service or support animals. You must disclose and get permission for any service and or support animals PRIOR to booking.

While you paid a cleaning fee, if you leave the home excessively dirty and don't follow check out procedures, an additional cleaning charge may apply that you will be responsible for paying.

Supplied in your reservation is a security deposit insurance policy that can cover you for accidental damages to the home or contents, however all damages may not be covered and if denied, you will be liable / responsible for paying any damages in their entirety.

You must be at least 26 years old to book and if your group is not related, the average age of all adults (not including kids) must be 26 years old or older. We do not allow people to book for other people, the person who makes and pays for the reservation must also stay in the home.

Sorry, NO home events, prom events, weddings, rehearsal dinners, or any other events of any kind.

NO Smoking inside or on/around the premise (you will be charged a $500 fee if this rule is broken).

NO charcoal grilles, fire pits, or deep fryers are allowed on premise.

Please be aware that there are exterior security cameras located on the premises directed towards the parking area and/or entrances for added security and tranquility of mind.

Please note if there is a fireplace, it is decorative only and not to be used.

We provide a basic starter pack of essentials for your first day including a roll of toilet paper in each bathroom, hand soap, a roll of paper towels in the kitchen, and a trash can liner per bin.

Finding the best rental home value:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season in Ocean Isle Beach. To get the best rental for your budget, we recommend reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at Southport restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Southport vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property management companies typically offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines contain coupons for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.

  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or charges may be applied to your agreement.

  • Add the property manager's phone number to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • To make sure that damages aren't linked to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas upon check in. text the rental manager immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors disrupting your peaceful home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect your property!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a great vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
