Not what you would expect from a typical beach property. Bald Head Island is a unique island with Live Oaks, palmettos, Spanish Moss, white sandy beaches, and a pretty golf course with lagoons, palm trees, that is completely landscaped. We have been searching for a Luxury home that blends all these aspects of the island, and finally found it. This 4000 square foot home with 5 bedrooms is located on the 8th green, with distant vistas and sounds of the ocean, all while being located on the edge of the forest. We have added a private pool and hot tub off the master suite. For security and safety reasons we have added outdoor nest cameras. We also have 1 four person golf cart and 6 person cart for your use. Once you arrive on the island after a incredible 20 min ferry ride (don't forget to book the ferry to & from the island when you book your reservation) all the stresses of the world are gone. Only golf carts and bicycles (we have 4) are allowed on the island. We also have a third golf cart for rent for $250 per week if needed.

About the Area

Located in Bald Head Island, this vacation home is next to a golf course and by the sea. Bald Head Island Lighthouse and Old Brunswick County Jail Museum are local landmarks, and some of the area's attractions include North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport and Bald Head Island Information Center. • Summertime is the most expensive season in Bald Head Island. Reserving a rental home in Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes.
• Some owners offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
• Booking websites usually offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are out, just like you would back home.
• Note any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are useful if a dispute is filed.
• Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
• Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
• Double-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
• Go through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
• Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent reviews to propel future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback.
