Step back in time with this completely remodeled apartment inside one of Front Street's most striking historic homes! This first floor apartment marries modern luxury with old world appeal, and every detail has been painstakingly thought out with our guests in mind.
With huge windows, decorative historic fireplaces, and original wood floor, the history buff will adore the historic details that were kept during this remodel. All this within walking distance of all downtown has to offer.

This one bedroom, one bathroom apartment is located on the first floor of one of downtown's appealing historic mansions. The entire property was refreshed from floor to ceiling in a way that retains the charm of historic touches while also adding the convenience of modern amenities. The soaring ceilings and sizable windows make this apartment feel cavernous and bright throughout.

The updated kitchen features plenty of cabinet and counter top space as well as all the essentials that you'd need to make a home cooked meal. There are two barstools for seating. The enormous living room centers around a decorative fireplace and offers tons of comfortable seating space for calming after a long day. Pocket doors lead from the living room into the gorgeous bedroom complete with a king size bed, arm chairs, and another handsome, decorative fireplace.

Off of the living room is a full bathroom complete with a tiled, walk in shower and linen closet. Through the bathroom door, there's a dressing room complete with make up mirrors, a dresser, and a rack for clothing storage. The best part of the apartment is the screened in porch with cozy seating where you can start your day with a cup of coffee or appreciate a drink in the evening.

Guests will have access to the entire apartment as well as a designated parking space in the gravel lot behind the home. We do have a locked closet for owner storage, but other than that you are able to use anything in the home. There are 5 other apartments in this home, but they all have a completely separate entrance. The only shared spaces are the backyard and parking areas.

Guests can reach the host through messaging.

There is a designated parking spot in the gravel lot right behind the home.

Please be sure to review our cancellation policy prior to making your reservation. We strongly recommend purchasing trip insurance at the time of booking.

If you are travelling with a huge group please see our other "Palazzo Sul Monte" listings. There are 5 additional units that are all located inside this historic home, so we can host up to 12 people at the same location.

Rental booking tips:

Finding the best rental value:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Southport area. Reserving a rental home in the Spring or Fall is a great way to save on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Southport vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • In the Southport area, The sooner you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your family.
  • Property managers typically offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Look for your local Southport visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guides contain offers and deals for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

How to select the best rental in the Southport area:

  • Choose your vacation dates and spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration you need. Palazzo Sul Monte-Uno has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the property owner before booking the property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You'll need to work out what configuration is suitable for your group.
  • If there's an individual Southport destination you long to visit, search for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental
  • Some rentals allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable breeds and types before booking.

More tips for your stay:

  • Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Upon arrival, note any issues with the property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent a lot of issues.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your peace. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property a final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a terrific time? Most rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
