Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Southport vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
• Owners sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family.
• Booking websites usually offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance.
