Savor some of the best weather of the year in Sunset Beach. 4 bedroom (sleeps 8/10 when adding two twin beds) 3 bath Canal front beach home only steps to the beach. 427 Sailfish street has calming vistas abound! Our Breezeway under the home gives you a great area to appreciate dinner and conversations with family and friends. During inclement weather days the breezeway still accepts a sizable area to be outside and savor an nearly constant breeze. All bedrooms are light & bright, and the guest suite on the ground floor gives the ideal amount of additional space. The covered screen porch is a favorite spot to for morning coffee and and appreciating calming summer nights. Natural light and casual coastal colors throughout.
For the summer months (May to Sept) we rent for 7 nights only (Sunday to Sunday) starting in 2024.

About the Area

Located in Sunset Beach, this vacation home is on the waterfront. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Russell Burgess Coastal Preserve and Heritage Shores Nature Preserve, while Sunset River Marketplace and Museum of Coastal Carolina are cultural highlights. Get the best value:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Southport area. To find the best value, shift your trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property managers frequently offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.

  • Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks ruin your vacation.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all belongings. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
