1 King | 2 Queen | 2 Twin-over-double Bunk Beds

Feel like you've really escaped to the tropics with a vacation stay at Wave Haven! From the moment you pull up to the welcoming hammock strung in the shade under the home and the fun pastel colors adorning the front porch, you'll know you've arrived to the ultimate coastal getaway. Finest of all, everybody can come along, as this home accepts up to three dogs per stay.

The open concept living area is designed with plenty of open floor space for the dogs and kiddos to play, while still providing plenty of seating for your crew on the comfortable sectional and armchair so you can settle in to watch a movie on the wall-mounted flatscreen TV. The oval dining table is set for six, but can seat up to eight, and an additional three barstools are available at the close by breakfast bar. The modern kitchen features stainless steel appliances and all the cookware you need to prepare family meals.

When it comes time to retire at nighttime, all three bedrooms feature their own TV, so there's no arguing over what to watch before bed. The master bedroom features a king bed and private ensuite bath with a step in shower. Down the hall, a standard bathroom with a tub/shower combo is shared by the other two bedrooms. The first bedroom is furnished with two queen beds, while the bunkroom has two twin-over-double bunk beds.

Outside, relax in the Adirondack chairs on the ocean-facing front porch while you listen to the waves and watch the sparkle of the sunlight on the sea. Take an afternoon nap while you sway in the hammock downstairs, or grille up the catch of the day on the included park grille. An enclosed outdoor shower makes cleaning up after hitting the beach a breeze, and when you are ready to hit the sand, beach access is right across the street and two homes to the left. Or, walk about a block and a half to reach the Ocean Crest Fishing Pier, where you'll also find trendy waterfront dining spots Island Way and The Seahorse Eats and Drinks.

Gather up your crew and canines and catch striking tropical vacation vibes at Wave Haven!

Rental booking tips:

Finding the best value:

  • In the Southport area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • Summer is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. Reserve your Southport rental property in the Fall or Spring to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Southport vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family.
  • Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Look for your local Southport visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines have coupons for local accommodations, tours and attractions.

Make a plan and choose a perfect Southport rental:

  • First, have your group decide on dates and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Wave Haven: 2nd Row Dog-Friendly Coastal Retreat with Fun Tropic Vibes has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Southport rental home search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible on booking websites. If not, email or call the host before reserving the rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to determine what bed configuration is optimal for your vacation family.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or costs might be applied to your invoice.
  • Visiting for a single attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .

Advice for your stay:

  • Add the owner's contact info to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let thieves spoil your family vacation.
  • At Check-in, document any damages to the property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Be respectful. Often times, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at departure. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave a review! Hosts rely on good feedback to drive new reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
